On December 4, 2009 Bob Smith appeared on Feagler and Friends on WVIZ TV to discuss recent changes at the Cleveland-Cuyahoga Port Authority, specifically the appointment of Peter Raskind as interim CEO.

The November 9th edition featured the article titled “Going through Withdrawal”. The article discussed the increase of clients questioning whether or not they should take withdrawals from their retirement plans to help meet expenses, including those that are unemployed. The November 16th edition featured the article titled “Financial Advisers Face more Questions from Clients Wary of Turmoil”. Due to notable financial scams, the article discussed clients’ heightened attention to firms with whom they do business.  The article is not yet publicly available online.

Bob Smith spoke at a Labor and Employment Law lunchtime seminar sponsored by Frantz Ward LLP on Monday, January 26.  He updated an audience of human resource professionals on how the distress in the financial markets has impacted the investment portfolio of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC). He also discussed the improvements occurring at the BWC and emphasized the important role of equities for long-term investment growth.
